Message From the President
For over 65 years, Thomas University has welcomed students from all walks of life, providing higher education at an affordable tuition. The university has strived to be responsive to our region’s diverse population while challenging all students to excellence and personal transformation.
We recently completed a new Academic Building on the Main Campus and we are currently renovating two buildings — one to house the Thomasville Genealogy Library, which has become a special collection of the Thomas University Library, and the other to house the expanded Center for Geospatial Analysis for Preservation and Planning. The university’s renovation of its West Campus situated less than a mile from our Main Campus has enabled TU to expand its athletics programs and attract many more athletic-scholars than has been possible in the past. The Student Life Building provides a fantastic fitness center for all students, training facilities for student-athletes, and new classrooms for art, music, drama, and film studies are currently under construction.
This fall, we again welcomed more than 1,100 students to Thomas University and approximately 1,000 students to our satellite programs at universities in China. We continue to excel in supporting and retaining our students, and our graduates are advancing to make a difference in fields as diverse as education, counseling, nursing, the sciences, and criminal justice. The growing stature of Thomas University benefits all of our constituents, including alumni, students, faculty, staff and the surrounding community.
— Dr. Gary Bonvillian, President
